Designer BiographyMonique L. Smith has been fascinated with the web ever since she was in middle school. As a fan of Japanese Animation, Monique always wanted to learn how to create a fansite online. By her father giving her Microsoft Frontpage and showing her how to insert an image and a link, Monique took the web to a whole new level. Day by day, she taught herself new techniques to create better appealing websites. By the beginning of high school, Monique decided to enroll in some Web classes due to boredom from other electives. At the end of High School, Monique advanced amongst her peers and won "Best Website All-Around" by her peers and teacher. |
From that day forward, Monique knew that her calling for her career was Web Design. At the end of 2003, Monique enrolled into the International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, FL for Interactive Media (Web Design & Development). By attending IADT, Monique learned advance techniques, design principles, and was surrounded by her fellow peers who shared the same passion for the web. In 2006, Monique graduated with Magma Cum Laude Honors from IADT with her bachelors degree in Interactive Media (Web Design & Development). Now, Monique is currently a Web Developer for IDEARC Media in St. Petersburg, FL and she also enjoys doing freelance for others.
